I was looking for a really nice watch and I found it! Didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars but this totally looks it. Very happy with the purchase. Its a nice weight, beautiful color dial and I've received many compliments. Would def buy again.

Best watch ever
I paid under a hundred dollars for this watch over ten years ago. It keeps excellent time, within five seconds a month, and the band and case have held up very well.

I cracked the crystal on the edge about 4 years ago, but got used to it and kept wearing it as is. Well the other day it got very hot and to its demise the twelve o'clock indicator fell of. It's now swimming inside the crystal, so I have to retire it.

I love it so much, I am buying another. I have other more expensive watches, but I don't know why, because this is the one I wear ninety-nine percent of the time.

Quality watch and good value
I purchased this Seiko dive watch a few months ago from Amazon. I was immediately impressed by the quality (and heft) of the watch. However, that was tempered by my initial disappointment that the watch ran about one *minute* slow per day. I didn't expect an automatic movement would be as accurate as a quartz movement, but that was simply unacceptable. I then took the watch to a local jeweler/watch repair place and had it regulated (at a cost of about ). Now it is accurate to within about a second a day. All's well that ends well! It is now my everyday watch and I am very satisfied with it.

A classic - an absolute classic
I don't know how long Rolex has been making this model, but mine is a decade old, and I know that the model was around for years before that. They haven't changed it because they have no reason to do so. It is unique and instantly identifiable. You either love the way it looks or you don't.
The Oyster Perpetual Day-Date that I have has never had a single problem. In ten or so years, I may have adjusted it five or ten minutes total. It never needs a battery, and it has only stopped once when I was immobilized in the hospital. (You do have to change the date manually in months that do not have 31 days and change the time when Daylight Savings comes around.) It is quite easy to read. It is also quite comfortable and seemingly indestructible. I have never needed to be careful with it at all. Occasionally, you might polish it, but the color never turns.
You have the option of adding diamonds to it, but I think that ruins the look by making something subtle look too flashy. The Oyster makes its quiet statement, but doesn't flaunt it.
Obviously, the price is extremely high (although not a bad investment - my watch is most likely worth 25% more than I paid for it.) However, as the salesman pointed out, it is perhaps the one thing I look at most each day, and it's nice to see the calm, unchanging face of (to me) beauty.
