Kent Super Scooter

Manufacturer: Kent International, Inc.
Sturdy enough for kids and parents alike, Kent's Super Scooter offers lots of entertainment and fun rides around the park and neighborhood with no destination required. The scooter features 12-inch inflatable tires for a rugged and smooth ride that can handle a variety of surfaces. Equipped with real brakes--bicycle sidepulls, not just a difficult and awkward plate to step on and rub against the wheel--you can come to a complete stop quickly and easily when needed. Built like a bicycle, this sophisticated scooter offers real handlebars, a bicycle stem, spoked wheels, and a steel frame to create a solid vehicle. It weighs 18 pounds, has a maximum handlebar height of 35.5 inches, and measures 46.5 inches long.

The scooter was basically pretty easy to assemble but it is impossible to adjust the brakes! I probably should have purchased the item at a bike shop or local retailer who would have put it together and made the adjustments. Now I have to take it to a "bike shop" as the instructions say and have the brakes adjusted before it can be used. I am sure the cost of the adjustment will be more than anything I may have saved by buying the item online.

Fun toy, average quality
Purchased this for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas. Assembly was somewhat straight forward. However, if you're not familiar with bike repairs or assembly it could be more than a bit challenging.
The scooter was packed fine, had all the parts with it but the rims were a mess. All spokes were loose & neither rim was true. In fact they wobbled badly. Trying to straighten them out took some time after first tightening all the spokes. One spoke nipple was frozen & ended up getting stripped. Oh well, that speaks to the quality.
Brakes are okay but are hard to adjust as others have written. Both axles were overtightened at the factory so they didn't spin freely at all. Those had to be adjusted as well before installation.
Overall, the Kent Super Scooter seems like it will be safe & fun for her to play with. Paint was slightly scratched here & there but still looked decent so I decided not to send it back. Glad it was on sale. I could not see paying full price for this scooter of average quality.

KENT SUPER SCOOTER
This is a very nice scooter, my husband which weights 170 lbs. was able to scoot along on this scooter. Very substantial very well made scooter. Nice size tires and the brakes work very good.

Perfect and Unique
My daughter got this as a Christmas present when she was five because she was having trouble learning to ride a bike and wanted to keep up with the older kids. It was a huge hit. Two years later she can ride a bike just fine but loves the scooter more. It is unique on our street and all the kids want to ride it. I got a pink and blue flowered basket to put on the front to "girly" it up a little bit and it works just great for us. I think the best ages for the scooter are about 4-10.

I purchsed 2 of these scooters, one for my 9 year old step-son, the other for myself. While it is a little small for an adult it is sturdy enough for me to ride. The brakes are not the best, they tend to stick and not fully release, but we are not traveling at high rates of speed, so they will do. The scooter is a lot of fun. I am happy with the quality for the price I paid.
